What if I told you that you don’t need special expertise to answer snap questions about your AI visibility?
That you could unearth deep insights without the data exports and analysis?
That you can skip fine-tuning filters or crafting queries to get what you need?
What if I told you that today, the power of all your most critical data is right at your fingertips, in the AI platforms where you already work, such as Claude or ChatGPT? That when you prepare for your next board meeting and they ask for a report on the AI transformation project, you have a complete and robust answer in just minutes?
Today, we’re fundamentally changing how you work. We’re thrilled to release the Botify MCP into general availability, connecting you directly to the data that becomes your competitive advantage in this age of AI search and shopping.
Getting your most valuable data has never been faster or easier. You and your teams are already working with an AI assistant. And while these assistants are capable analysts, they don’t know your site: your crawl data, your server logs, your Google Search Console numbers, or which of your pages OpenAI accessed last Tuesday. The Botify MCP closes that gap and then some.
What is an MCP?
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It's an open standard that lets an AI assistant connect to outside software. Think of it as a USB port for AI: Plug something in, and the assistant can work with it directly.
For your brand, it means that an administrator can add one connection in your AI tool's settings, once. Each person then signs in with their own account, the same way they sign in to anything else. From there, their assistant can query your Botify data and put Botify's analysis to work inside the tool they were already using. Everyone sees only the projects they already have permission to see.
The difference is the data model, not the connection
Any vendor can ship an MCP connection. Many already have, and a new one appears almost weekly. From the outside they look identical, so the differentiation is entirely in what you can send through it.
Most connectors are wired to the same third-party keyword database everyone else is already working from, and they can only flag a problem and hand it back to you. The Botify MCP is different. It’s powered by the most comprehensive dataset in the industry, including but not limited to:
- Over a thousand metrics about your actual website, such as crawl data and log file data, collated and analyzed by Botify
- First-party data from Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Adobe, and more
- Third-party insights from sources such as agents, Google Trends, live SERPs, Perplexity, etc.
We're the only platform that can connect every page on your site with what search and AI bots are doing there, what Google reports, and where you show up in AI answers. It’s the most robust view you can get of your website footprint. And now, via our MCP connector, an assistant can navigate all of those sources on its own, and for as long as the question takes. It can find an issue, draft the fix, and ready it for deployment on your behalf in seconds — the kind of investigation and execution even a senior expert would struggle to do by hand.
Long story short: while new MCP connections are shipped weekly, the value isn’t in the connection itself — it’s in the quality of the information you’re accessing. Good input makes for good output, as they say.
Measure, diagnose, fix, and take action in the space of a conversation
Botify’s MCP aims to do two things. The first is to provide AI tools with your complete data, including your site crawls, server logs, Search Console performance, AI visibility, and product feeds. The proprietary connected data model we've been building for over a decade will now be available to your assistant as a live source.
The second is to leverage our agents — the same purpose-built skills that power Botify Assist. Analyze a page, group the searches customers use, check whether Google can see your pages, work out why load times moved, or find the right internal link for a topic. Ask your tool in plain language, and Botify does the work behind the scenes.
Think of it this way: the data model is the brain, and the MCP is how you talk to it. The brain takes in everything happening across the full chain of AI search and can take action. Find an issue, draft the fix, file the ticket, and prep for deploy without ever leaving the platform.
What used to take months, quarters, and halves now takes minutes
This past year, Botify customers demonstrated some of the useful and creative ways our new MCP can support teams:
- A large pet e-commerce retailer uses it for full analysis and optimization deployment. Botify flags a technical problem, then their AI tool diagnoses it, writes the fix, files the ticket, and deploys it. Separately, their vet content writers now check their own page titles and Search Console performance by asking a question, replacing a manual export process they'd lived with for years.
- A European price comparison marketplace used the MCP to map roughly 7,000 URLs across multiple country domains during a migration, including semantically related matches. Hours of manual work were done in minutes, with a traffic threshold to filter noise and a person reviewing everything before anything went live.
- A digital health platform built an internal tool on the MCP that produces content briefs automatically, combining search results, keyword candidates, related questions, topic clusters, and duplication checks in one pass. Their three-person marketing team uses the output daily.
- A B2B manufacturing marketplace connected Botify to its internal data warehouse to size its total organic opportunity and build reports that blend our data with their own business metrics.
For leaders, the possibilities are endless. Access to data, reports, and insights is no longer gatekept by a login, nor does it require special software, expertise, or bandwidth. With Botify MCP, you can move faster than ever with the ease of a conversation:
- Build branded, executive-ready reports fed by comprehensive live data: “Using our brand guidelines document, build a monthly performance summary for our executive team covering: how organic search performed versus last month and last year, the three biggest wins, the three biggest risks, where we stand in AI answers, and what we're asking for. Write the narrative first as an outline so I can approve the story before you build the document.”
- Understand what changed on your site this week: “Summarize how organic search performed over the last 7 days compared with the 7 days before. Give me the three things that moved most, in plain language, and tell me which ones are worth my attention.”
- Know where you show up in AI answers: “Across the AI visibility prompts we track about [TOPIC], how often is our brand named in the answer, and how often is our own site actually cited as a source? Show the split by AI platform, and tell me which competitors come up alongside us.”
- Size up opportunities before you invest in them: “Size the organic opportunity for [CATEGORY]. Pull search volume, group it by what the searcher wants, and show me the seasonality. Then apply a revenue per visit of [$X] to estimate the value. State your assumptions.”
- Blend your AI performance with your revenue numbers: “Load this revenue file keyed on [URL], join it to the latest crawl and to Search Console performance, and show me: revenue sitting on pages that aren't indexable, revenue on pages losing position, and our top 50 pages by revenue with their current search health beside each one.”
What the Botify MCP means for your business
Any platform is ultimately limited by who can access it. The executives, merchandisers, engineers, and content teams who most need AI search intelligence don’t have time to learn how to use another tool, and they don't have to now:
- Search leaders and practitioners can query Botify inside their AI tools, automate the reports they rebuild every month, and blend our data with their own systems.
- Executives ask a question in natural language, in the assistant they already use, and get an answer grounded in their own site.
- Merchandising, paid media, and content teams serve themselves, instead of waiting on an export.
- Engineering and AI leaders get a secure, standards-based source they can build on, with per-person permissions, usage controls, and logging.
With the Botify MCP, your most valuable data and impactful actions expand beyond the walls of a small expert team and become a resource for your entire company. From executive to manager to practitioner, your entire org offloads the burden of retrieving, reconciling, and acting upon data to your AI assistants, freeing up resources and moving faster.
